Transport & Dock Workers’ Union, Mumbai celebrated the 75^th year of Indian Independence by organising a bike rally from PD’Mello Bhawan to Wadala MbPA’s various colonies of port & dock workers with slogans and patriotic songs, under the guidance of Com Kishor Kotwal, President; and Com Kersi Parekh, General Secretary of the union.

Mr Rajeev Jalota, (IAS), Chairman, Mumbai Port Authority was the Chief Guest and Sis Kalpana Desai first woman, Board Member of Mumbai Port Authority, and Treasurer of TDWU was the honoured guest. The distinguished guests paid their respects to the great veteran leaders Com PD’mello, Com Manohar Kotwal, Com SR Kulkarni, Com KA Khan, and Com KR Prabhudesai.  Then, the Chairman hoisted the flag and declared the bike rally open.

Secretaries Com Nivrutti Dhumal, Baban Mete, Rajaram Shinde, Vinod Pitale, Venktesh Swamy and other office bearers took hectic efforts to make programme a grand success.
