NAUGHTICA 2K22  The Largest Inter College Fest took place in Mumbai at Sheila Gopal Raheja Auditorium in Bandra West, Mumbai on 7^th and 8^th October.

This dazzling fun-filled event was not only attended and participated in, by 23 Maritime Training Institutes and over 550 students but also opened its arms to many eminent personalities in the industry as well as companies!

Hosted by Capt. Purnendu Shorey, Co-founder of Offing Group as well as Capt. Anupam Raizada, Co-founder of Offing Group – this event soared to new heights! NAUGHTICA 2K22 was presented by HSBC and powered by the Maritime Training Trust.

Participants battled it out in 14 activities during the course of 2 days, all for the ultimate prize of winning the Naughtica Winner of Medals Tally Trophy.

Tolani Maritime Institute came in with gusto and bagged the Winner of Medal’s Tally trophy.

International Maritime Institute took home the Runner Up’s trophy.

Honourable members of the fraternity, Capt. Girish Phadnis, Director and Country Head of MTM Ship Management India Pvt.Ltd & Founder of Sagar Defence Engineering, Capt. Nikunj Parashar was felicitated at the opening ceremony for their contributions to the industry.

Capt. Rajesh Tandon, CEO FOSMA and Capt. Shiv Halbe CEO of MASSA addressed the students at large as both associations supported the event .

Dr. Pandurang Raut, Deputy Director General of Shipping who was present on the first day of the event conveyed his best wishes to everyone participating. The Maritime Training Trust (MTT) extended support for the stay, food expenses and travel costs of all contestants.

The fest culminated with an award ceremony in the afternoon on the second day.

The award distribution was held in the presence of the Honourable Directorate General of Shipping, Shri Amitabh Kumar (IRS) where he felicitated students who bagged accolades in different categories and also handed over the Winner’s & Runner Up trophy!

Since the first edition that was held in 2017 – NAUGHTICA has had 4 editions and witnessed participation of over 2000+ Cadets and Trainees from the Maritime Training Institutes over the years.

Leading Shipping Companies, Owners and Ancillary Businesses have supported the vent over the years and this support is growing with each edition!

The event is clearly the LARGEST Inter College Fest & Exhibition of Maritime Education in India and the wings are now beginning to spread overseas.
