The 9th edition of Sea Asia concluded successfully yesterday at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The three day trade-show held 25th to 27th April witnessed over 300 exhibitors from across the globe with over 70 participating countries showcasing innovative solutions across the maritime value chain.

The Biennial trade show organized by Informa Markets and Singapore Maritime Foundation was based on a theme called “Ambition Meets Action: Marketplace – Innovation – Leadership”, offering the maritime industry a valuable platform to connect, collaborate and discuss the latest emerging trends shaping the future, in conjunction with Singapore Maritime Week’s dialogues in sustainability, innovation, and talent.

Notable exhibitors such as ABS & Affiliated Companies, Bureau Veritas Marine, DNV, Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), Korean Register, Lloyd’s Register, Schottel GMBH, Shell, and others made their presence felt.

The Trade show featured 12 national pavilions including Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Greece, Japan, Norway, Panama, Singapore, South Korea, The Netherlands, and the UK.

The trade show had demarcated zones dedicated to specific areas such as marine fuels and lubricants, decarbonization solutions, and marine supplies, with a special pavilion called the PIER71™pavilion.

Adhering to the PIER71™ programme – a first industry-wide acceleration programme for the port and maritime industry, the PIER71™pavilion within the MarineTech zone, featured various R&D and technology solutions developed by maritime enterprises, start-ups and technology developers under the PIER71™ programme – a first industry-wide acceleration programme for the port and maritime industry

Mr Sukuma Verma, Managing Director, Maritime & Energy Singapore, Informa Markets, said,  “Sea Asia offers a unique marketplace where stakeholders and businesses within the maritime and offshore industry can come together, share knowledge and collaborate. By promoting a sense of community and driving these connections, we can unlock new opportunities for growth, innovation and efficiency; enabling the industry to stay ahead of the curve and remain competitive in a rapidly changing global landscape.”

The tradeshow over three days offered a unique opportunity for visitors to participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and dialogues led by industry professionals. Titled “Knowledge Sharing Theatre’, it had over 25 presentations and product demonstrations led by exhibitors.
