The company boasts of over 600 ships using its eRBooks along with BSM, Sirius Shipping, Swiss Ocean Services, Tomini Shipping, Rawabi Holding, Pacific International Lines, to name some.

Mariapps has recently bagged ‘The Maritime Standard – Technology Innovation Award 2022 for its innovations.

MariApps with its global presence across Germany, Singapore, India, Japan, Cyprus, UAE, France, USA, and Saudi Arabia, assists ship owners and managers move towards transparent and sustainable operational efficiency through its SmartPAL Software; that helps companies optimize its fleet management process including its day-to-day operations in crewing, maintenance, Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment (QHSE), and finance.

C.E. Prabhat Billore, Program Manager, Mariapps says, “Our eRBooks offerings integrated with existing smartPAL module, is designed to replace traditional paper-based record books and is equipped with a local browser-based application for onboard users.”

With eRBooks recorded data is communicated simultaneously to offices ashore. Each electronic record book is developed as an independent sub-module in the eRBooks offerings. Mariapps’ electronic record books alleviate the administrative burden and hassle of paperwork thus increasing transparency, credibility, and reduction of pollution-related critical vessel operations.  Using the software, record-keeping is efficient as it prevents inaccurate-error entries thus increasing transparency and reducing human errors.

Billore elaborated further, “With our new eRBooks module we secure a high quality of logbook data through standardized entries. It will ease the workload on the bridge, thus giving officers more valuable time for other duties on board. At the same time data that has never been available ashore is regularly mirrored to office-based teams to further improve transparency towards the owner, following regulations, voyage performance, efficiency as well as other use cases. This is a huge step in digitalization because it is the data that drive our success in shipping,”

MariApps’ Electronic Record Books are type approved by Bureau Veritas, Class NK, Korean Register, and fifteen major flag states. This electronic record book system is developed to comply with MARPOL, IMO resolution MEPC.312(74), as well as other relevant regulatory requirements.

The move to digital is evident, and those who don’t make the switch are at risk of falling behind. With the increasing demand for speed, accuracy and transparency in the industry, the use of digital tools is becoming essential.
