The Global Maritime India Summit, 2023 (GMIS) scheduled between October 17th and October 19th, 2023 has been relocated and now the summit will take place in Mumbai.

The decision to change the venue has been taken looking at Mumbai’s significance in maritime trade, and also the new location aligns better with the theme and spirit of the summit.

Setting the tone at its third road show, anchored by DG Shipping and The Shipping Corporation of India while commemorating the World Maritime Day, it served as a precursor to the highly anticipated Global Maritime India Summit, 2023 (GMIS), slated to be held at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex.

The summit being organised in exclusive partnership with FICCI strives to foster connections, advance collaborative endeavors, and spark innovation, all encapsulated under the overarching theme of ‘Connect, Collaborate & Create’.

Mumbai region is a fundamental pillar in the transformative journey towards maritime excellence. The noteworthy contributions from the region persist as a propulsive factor, notably amplifying trade, connectivity, and promoting economic augmentation.

Shri Shyam Jagannathan, Director General of Shipping, welcomed the audience attending the Roadshow, urging the Indian maritime fraternity to come forward, lead and contribute from the front in the GMIS 2023.

The Summit will host various thematic sessions and exhibitions which will position India as a leading economy in the maritime industry.
