The ATPI-Marex Indian Maritime Premier League IMPL Box Cricket 2023 season 2 came to an end on Saturday evening at the Chitrakoot Grounds Andheri Mumbai with the spectacular win of Scorpio Marine Management by 61 runs over its competitor Suntech Group at the final match. The winning team was presented the coveted Cup.

At the final match Suntech won the toss and elected to field. While Scorpio batting first scored 112 runs at the loss of 6 wickets, with batsmen Amol scoring 46 runs in 17 balls hitting five six’s, followed by Ankit scoring 33 runs in 13 balls with four six’s.

Suntech chasing the target could manage to score 51 runs all down in the stipulated 8 overs. Bharat Kharwa scored 17 runs in 13 balls, hitting two sixes.

Season 2 of the ATPI-Marex Indian Maritime Premier League IMPL Box Cricket 2023 had begun with much fanfare on December 15, with 28 teams from various shipping companies from across the maritime industry playing. Every participating team had to play its three league matches and qualify further. The 28 teams were equally divided into 7 groups (Groups A–G) with each group consisting of 4 teams.

The two-day event witnessed the zeal and spirit of cricket as at times the fitness of the players was challenged with some quick fielding and cheeky runs between the wickets.
Of the overall 28 teams, 4 teams played their way to the semifinals. The semifinal matches were held between Scorpio vs OSM Thome and Seaspan vs Suntech.
