To take this forward University of Mumbai’s Garware Institute of Career Education & Development has come up with a series of educative &informative seminars under the banner event called CATALYST 2022.
The first seminarwas held on 5th of March and the second on 26th of March. This event has seen wide acceptance and attendance from varied audience including the working professionals as well.
The second seminar of Catalyst 2022 brought the audience the rich experience and incredible intellect of Mr Deepak Shetty IRS (Retd) Former Secretary to Government of India and DG shipping. The knowledge, policymaking abilities, humility, and conviction in taking everybody along are some of his many attributes. He enlightened the audience by sharing insights gained through his expertise in areas of anti-smuggling and anti-money laundering operations & the role and responsibilities of IMO in the shipping world.
MrA Ravi Kumar who has been an expert in international trade and associated with various Export Promotion Councils – spoke on GST and changes in the law and its implications on the trade. When it comes to money, we all need to thread carefully, and hence practical insights were shared by Mr Ravi Kumar’s experience. The talks were followed by interactive Q&A sessions and the students made the most of this opportunity to question the stalwarts from the domain. CATALYST 2022 with its eminent speakers and variety of inputs was a resounding success, appreciated by not just the students, but the speakers themselves.
The Course Coordinator,Mr Prakash Khatri expressed the delight of the students and faculty at having such a series of distinguished practitioners from the industry share their views with the students. The objective behind the launch of the seminar is to continue efforts towards fostering interaction between the industry and students.
Two of students Alumni who qualified the CBLE 2018 Regulations 6 examination were felicitated at this event which was also graced by the Institute Director DrShivramGajre who shared the Institute been pioneer in providing skill-based programs since its inception from the year 1985.
