CMC commits to nurturing future Leaders

The auditorium was filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation at Co, mbatore Marine College (CMC) resonated with the echoes of the Passing Out Ceremony of ETO – 38 & GME 43 on August 25. The Institution stood proud, as cadets and their families gathered to commemorate the successful completion of their respective programs. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, with Capt RK Muduli, Nautical Adviser to the Government of India, Directorate General of Shipping – Mumbai, and Principal Officer, MMD Kochi, taking center stage as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his wife Mrs Reena Muduli.

After a convivial High Tea session, Capt Muduli embarked on a visit to the Ship In Campus, further fortifying the bond between the dignitary and the institution.

Cadet Ankit Dobey (B.Tech 23) then took the stage, delivering a heartfelt Welcome Address that set the tone for the rest of the event. His words reflected the collective pride of the institution in achieving this significant milestone.

The Chairman, Coimbatore Group of Institutions, C/E SI Nathan delivered the presidential address that was not only inspirational but also a testament to the institution’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in the maritime industry.

Cadet Riya Sharma (B.Tech 22) took the opportunity to introduce Capt Muduli, a moment that added an air of reverence and honor to the proceedings. In recognition of his distinguished presence, Capt. Muduli was felicitated with a Shawl and Memento Mr Nathan, encapsulating the institution’s profound gratitude.

The highlight of the event was Capt. Muduli’s motivational speech, one that left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the Passing Out Cadets. His insights into the maritime industry, coupled with his life experiences, painted a roadmap for the young cadets as they embarked on their own journeys. His words resonated deeply, imparting valuable lessons that extended beyond the confines of the institution.

Cadet Albin Thomas (ETO 23A) and Cadet Akshay B Raj (GME 43) took the stage to deliver the Farewell Speech, their words a poignant blend of gratitude, nostalgia, and excitement for the path that lay ahead.

In the grand finale, Cadet Ashmit Dogra (Bsc 23A) took the stage to express heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the cadets. His Vote of Thanks acknowledged not only the Chief Guest and the Chairman but also the faculty, staff, and families who had contributed to the cadets’ growth and success.

The “Passing Out Ceremony of ETO – 38 & GME 43” was not just a culmination; it was a transition from the cocoon of education to the wings of industry. The cadets, armed with knowledge, inspiration, and a sense of purpose, are now ready to embark on their professional journeys, carrying with them the values and lessons imparted by this esteemed institution.
