CURTAIN-RAISER DIWALI EVENT WELL ATTENDED BY FRATERNITY

A Friends’ Diwali party was held and well attended and enjoyed by the shipping fraternity on the 3rd of November 2023. It was a musical event celebrated at the Acres Club in Mumbai.
Friends coming together and raising the curtain to the upcoming Diwali festival was launched with a Lighting of the traditional Lamp by an all-women team.
Diwali, the “Festival of Lights,” is always a vibrant, joyous celebration. However, in anticipation of Diwali 2023, an event was hosted that was nothing short of electrifying. This gathering was not merely a celebration but a curtain raiser to the festival.
The event took place at a large, beautifully decorated venue, the Acres Club in Mumbai, that spoke volumes about the festivities to come. The place was awash with a multitude of brightly colored lights, mirroring the spirit of Diwali.
An enticing aroma of Indian incense sticks filled the air, marigold flowers adorned the place, and constant, melodious traditional & film music added an inimitable charm to the whole affair.
Featuring a guest list brimming with numerous well-known personalities, the party captured the essence of camaraderie and festive cheer. The attendees were all dressed up in their best traditional Indian ensembles, adding to the colorfulness of the occasion.
The highlight of the evening was the performance section. A well known troop of artists took to the stage to perform a medley of popular songs and contemporary dance numbers, along with traditional folk rhythms.
Food was another major feature of the party. Varieties of traditional Indian delicacies were served, which truly brought the taste of Diwali to life. Everyone seemed to revel in the jovial spirit and left no stone unturned in making the most of this breezy, exciting pre-Diwali celebration.
The curtain raiser for Diwali 2023 was indeed a memorable event. It set the bar high and paved the way for a spectacular Diwali celebration in the days to come.
