Yoga has taken the centre stage, some do it for being fit physically fit and some for mental peace. Yoga has started to play a significant role in the life of majority.
Due to the pandemic, people have been confined to stay indoors. There are hardly any socializing and therefore stress levels are high among everyone. Institute of Marine Engineers (India) Mumbai Branch (IMEI) decided to take a unique initiative of conducting Meditation with Yogic Transmission on 22nd January virtually. Mr Arun Kumar Gupta gave a warm welcome to all the attendees, and the Guest and an expert in Heartfulness Meditation, Mr Sanjay Bhatia, Upa Lokayukta, Maharashtra State, Ex-IAS Officer Maharashtra Cadre Trainer of Heartfulness Meditation.
“We need such innovative programs during this stressful time for calmness and mental peace,” said Mr Gupta. He was grateful to Ms Sonali Banerjee, Head, Social Initiative committee for knitting this yogic meditation session at a very optimum time.
Mr Bhatia who has been practicing meditation for 20 years and Heartfulness meditation for 16 years with nine other major meditations, said “Yogic transmission is something which is said to be prevalent at the time of Raja Janak for their spiritual progress and thereafter it was lost in India and was rediscovered 100 ago.”
Expressing his experience on practicing Heartfulness meditation and benefits, Mr Bhatia informed that it changes one personality, he was able to get control over anger issues and mind had become more creative.
He even mentioned that his entire family has started practicing meditation and has seen the difference. Mr Bhatia advised everyone to practice continuously for 3 months will definitely see some changes.
Youngsters may be well educated, tech savvy with high IQ levels, but when it comes to emotional health, they are very weak to handle any stress and stress levels are highest among them. “Today’s youngsters IQ level are high, but EQ levels are low, and to balance it, such meditation is a must,” he opined.
Mr Bhatia then practiced Heartfulness meditation with attendees through virtual conference.
The audience seemed to enter the world of calmness and peacefulness with Mr Bhatia’s soothing words.
