India is the world’s third largest energy consumer and the demand is likely to rise more than 3 percent annually according to the International Energy Association. Also, with the country maintaining its lead over the UK as the fifth largest economy of the world, India will be a $3.7 trillion economy in 2023.

In business however, it’s the success in logistics that translates to increased efficiencies, lower costs, higher production rates, better inventory control, smarter use of warehouse space, increased customer and supplier satisfaction, and an improved customer experience.

While the energy sector pavilions did boast about the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman‘s vision of energy transition and energy security with an outlay of Rs 35, 000 crores on the sidelines of the expo, the logistics industry equally welcomed the government’s proposal to increase the capital investment outlay by 33% to Rs 10 lakh crore in the union budget 2023-24, claiming that the emphasis on building infrastructure will strengthen India’s position in the global supply chain.
