Chitkara University School of Maritime Studies (CUSMS) held a grand networking dinner with stalwarts from the maritime industry at Hyatt Centric Hotel Mumbai on 19th May.

CUSMS currently conducts the following Pre Sea courses

1. B.Sc in Nautical Science- 3 years
2. GP Rating – 6 Months
3. Basic Safety Training / STCW courses

Capt Girish Phadnis, MD of MTM, and Capt. Kamal Chadha, MD of Marex Media had visited the Chitkara Campus in recent times and both spoke very highly of the vision of the top management team led by Chairperson Dr Ashok Chitkara, Chancellor, and the infrastructure with modern equipment. The Charter like preparing students for the industry, integrity, communication skill, and leadership skills is seen very strong and focussed.

The first Batch of 16 cadets shall be completing B.Sc in Nautical Science degree in July 2023. These cadets in their smart outfits were present at the evening event and some of the ship owners’ representatives interacted with them and could see the cadets having lots of potential and being future fit in the maritime industry.
