The WMU Board of Governors, at its 39th session, reappointed Ms. Sanjam Gupta to the WMU Executive Board for a further two-year term ending on 30 June 2023.

The IMO Secretary General confirmed this appointment in an official letter taking this opportunity to express his sincere appreciation for her efforts and significant contribution towards the University’s operations.

World Maritime University based in Malmo, Sweden- the first Indian professional from the industry to hold this position by her own merit, and not representing the GOI.

The World Maritime University is based in Malmo, Sweden. In 2017, she became the first Indian lady to be appointed as well as the first independent business person from the industry (not representing the GOI.)
