Today, everybody is conscious about the environment, realising this ATPI has taken an initiative to reduce footprint with a product called ATPI Halo. “ATPI Halo is about Carbon Offsetting, keeping in mind about the airlines and our nature of the businesses there is enough carbon already. But it is something, we are doing in a small way to lead a green life,” said Capt Nitin Hardi, Managing Director, ATPI. He was talking at a meet and greet evening hosted by ATPI and Turkish Airlines jointly to express their gratitude to their esteemed clients who have been an integral part of their Company’s growth on 02nd December 2022 at Taj Santacruz, Mumbai.

Appreciating the association with ATPI, Ms Sonia Celine Rego, Corporate Sales & Marketing Manager, Turkish Airlines expressed, “It is a great pleasure for us to be sharing this evening with you all. Our association with ATPI, Capt Khuman, Capt Hardi and the team goes back many years, and it keep growing with every year based on mutual cooperation. We are grateful to you all for your support in promoting Turkish airlines within your organisation.”

Enlightening on ATPI Halo, Mr Bharat Mehrotra, Branch Head – Delhi, ATPI mentioned that the first step is to raise awareness on climate change, and take responsibilities for our actions. “We have realised that as service provider we are an indirect contributor to global warming and this is where ATPI Halo came into existence. ATPI Halo is a CO2 measurement, reduction and offset service device and design by travel management experts.”

“Created as a result of this awareness, we felt that we should provide solutions to support our clients in mitigating their impact, so ATPI Halo is built around three core focus areas measure, reduce and offset. If you take a closer look at all these 3 elements, scope 1 & 2 are direct emissions that are owned and controlled by companies such as companies facilities, company vehicles, purchases, electricity etc. While scope 3 is the indirect emissions in the valued chain that is link with the company’s operations and that’s where travel fits in.”

“To reach net zero we need to neutralise emissions across the entire operations and supply chain. We have in fact modified our products Analytics 2.0 which now offers improved carbon dioxide recordings and more visual data. We have partnered with Thrust Carbon leading global science based organisation that focus purely on the measurements of travel related emissions. Their data is current and actuals where many traditional methodologies have used broad generalisations and averages. Thrust Carbon enable us to provide CO2 measurements beyond just air.”

“While the tradition net zero emission is happening, but it is still a long way off. Therefore in combination of science based reduction efforts carbon dioxide offsetting is considered as complimentary and even critical in achieving the 2050 net zero targets. By choosing more sustainable travel options, you can achieve net zero emission. The sustainable developments to talk about and the projects that are associated with ATPI Halo we have included 17 sustainable developments goals, which balance the 3 dimensions of sustainable developments Economic, Social and Environmental each of the projects are available to support via ATPI Halo that are selected due to its correlation with the UN 17 sustainable development goals and the specific interest of our core clientele,” concluded Mr Mehrotra.

Thereafter, the guests relaxed to some melodious singing of retro music, fine dining and drinks.
